Automated verification of an identity document can be done in several ways.
RestPort Technologies distinguishes between the Half Page and Full Page techniques. The technique used depends on the application and the type of ID scanner being used.
During and after scanning, document control takes place. In more advanced systems, there is also a check on the authenticity features of the identity document.

After analyzing the MRZ, the software determines if it is valid and when present, the RFID chip is accessed.
Control
The desired checks are then performed on the obtained data.

The result is displayed in the software after the checks or exported to back-end systems.
